The superintendent of a New Jersey school where students were videotaped being taught to sing the praises of President Obama issued a statement Thursday saying the taping was unauthorized, but failed to address whether the the lesson — taught durnig Black History Month — was  approved.

A YouTube video shows nearly 20 young children being led in a song overflowing with campaign slogans and praise for “Barack Hussein Obama,” repeatedly chanting the president’s name and celebrating his accomplishments, including his “great plans” to “make this country’s economy No. 1 again.”

The video has set off families in Burlington, N.J., who say that politics shouldn’t be forced on young students.

“This video is disturbing,” said a grandparent named Sandy, who spoke on the condition that her last name not be noted. “I’m disturbed that someone can give their political opinions in school like this. I’m dead-set against it.

“We don’t teach politics in pre-school — or kindergarten or first grade,” said Sandy, who told FOXNews.com she has two grandchildren attending B. Bernice Young Elementary School, where the video was filmed. “This has no place in the classroom. It may have been the opinion of one or two, and someone should pay the consequences for it.”

School officials said Thursday the students were “singing a song about President Obama” in February “to honor the contributions of African Americans to our country.”

“The recording and distribution of the class activity were unauthorized,” wrote Christopher M. Manno, superintendent of Burlington Township School District, in a statement to parents.

One song that the children were taught quotes directly from the spiritual “Jesus Loves the Little Children,” though Jesus’ name is replaced with Obama’s: “He said red, yellow, black or white/All are equal in his sight. Barack Hussein Obama.”

Even before U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis was sworn in, Big Labor insiders like AFL-CIO lawyer and Obama appointee Deborah Greenfield were busily dismantling useful union financial disclosures produced by former Labor Secretary Elaine Chao.  It’s another Big Government – Big Labor partnership aimed at keeping individual workers, whom they claim to represent, in the dark.

Why the hurry? Perhaps Union Bosses wanted to prevent the Virginia GOP and inquisitive people like Patrick Semmens from visiting DOL’s UnionReports.gov website that clearly reveals the Big Labor-ACORN collusion.  Semmens discovered that teachers’ union bosses gave about $500,000 to the same Brooklyn ACORN office exposed on BigGovernment.com.  Both the National Education Association (NEA) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) awarded ACORN service contracts.

That’s right; union bosses gave teachers’ forced union dues to the same ACORN that appeared to have no problem facilitating child prostitution.  No wonder Solis’ Big Labor friends want to shutdown financial disclosure!

In fact, UnionReports.gov provides detailed union financial reports and is a primary source for many union members, reporters, columnists, bloggers, and researchers.  But, the days of disclosure are numbered.  Big Labor has commanded Labor Secretary Solis to shut it all down.

Jesus told the first generation of bishops, the apostles, to be as wise as serpents and simple as doves.  Up until very recently, this generation of bishops got it backwards when it came to ACORN.

There’s obviously been a lot of media attention this week on ACORN’s well-deserved meltdown.  One aspect of this sad tale that should not be forgotten is the shameful way the Catholic Church has been played the fool over the years by ACORN.

First, some stipulations.  I am a very faithful Roman Catholic who regularly attends Mass at my parish in Alexandria, VA with my family.  I even go to Mass during the week in downtown Washington, DC.  Just for fun, I pray the older breviary in Latin, and am taking an ecclesiastical Latin class on Saturday afternoons.  Suffice it to say, I love the Church and only want to prevent her further embarrassment.

Many in the Church have big hearts and small brains.  The Catholic Church is the largest and oldest social welfare organization in the word.  We practically or actually invented hospitals, soup kitchens, schools, shelters, etc.  As such, the “social teaching” of the Church has always been a very high priority, and the execution of the corporal works of mercy is a necessity to salvation.  The people working on this day-to-day, though, are often naive fools.

And they were suckered by ACORN.
